Place, 222 South Church St., at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday for a primer, as local angel investors will answer questions in a town-hall discussion format.
(Note: Meeting is only open to accredited investors. There
will be another session for entrepreneurs and other community members on March
26. )
Panelists include: Greg Brown of IMAF Charlotte and Charlotte Angel Fund; David Moore of CharlotteStartupFunding.org; Dain Dulaney, a partner at Bishop, Dulaney & Joyner; Dan Roselli, founder of uptown startup hub Packard Place and a partner of RevTechLabs and QCFinTech; and George McAllister, the director of the Small Business and Technology Development Center of Charlotte.
What's an accredited investor?
--Individual net
worth, or joint net worth with the person’s spouse, that exceeds $1 million,
excluding the value of the primary residence of such person.
--Individual with
income exceeding $200,000 in each of the two most recent years or joint income
with a spouse exceeding $300,000.
